One lobster was found dead today...
It was said to be trapped somewhere and its body was cut into "half"
This is how the lobster looked like:
Respects to the lobster
Anyway the fish were fed with not too much or too little food in the similar two-hour interval basis. Feeding began at about 8am. The fish were growing well and handsomely. The tank was properly monitered as always.

In order to cut cost, we sort-of recycled the colourful gravels that were used by another EE group from our class to make our tank more beautiful and welcoming(which would be exhibited!) so that we need not buy another packet of gravels to decorate the tank

Not to forget about the plants that we were supposed to grow. It's growing steadily!!

My reflection
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the results. Our hard work has finally paid off. At first we had not planned well, so we faced so many difficulties but we perserved till the very end. Once we had almost broke the tank. I could still clearly remember the moment when we carry the tank from the side of the classroom to the back of the classroom. It requires both team work and strategy. Nevertheless, we did it. Sad to say i almost broke my fingers when putting down ther tank. When others let go my hands were trapped under the tank and it was painful.
3 HURRAYS FOR GROUP 4. HURRAY! HURRAY! HURRAY !

So going post about yesteday and today
Yesterday-May 19 2009Fed first time at 8am. Then a second time at about 10.30am. Then a third time at about 11.30am (or 12.30am...?) Fed fourth time after school.
So here are some random pictures:
-One of the lobsters rushing out of its hiding place so cute:

A picture of the fish when fed:

All rushing for the food o.O
And below is a blurrish zoom-in of a Tiger Barb done by Kok Yi:

Circled out the fish in case you can't find it :/
Today-May 20 2009
Today fed about 3 times? Usually is 3-4 times.
Put a plant on the gravel storage holder. Looks nice:

Discovered a shocking thing: one of thie fish's head was being eaten away by a lobster!!!
Haha the scene when the lobster ate the fish was too blurrish so there was no pictures of that scene...however we managed to get:
The picture of the half-body fish (gross or cute looking? You decide)

And the picture of the lobster which had a "sastifying meal" of fish head O.o Can you see the lobster??

Ok not funny. It's a life lost after all.
So erm...? Respect for the dead? :X
And that was about all.

shall post about the process. from the beginning, if I can remember -.- pls correct this post if need be any errors. >.<. started with discussion. lots of arguement on how to meet up etc...
. tried using the tank provided by the school. tested it out before buying the fishes. didn't like the small tank. deicded to use kok yi's tank for bigger space. better quality tank. few days later kok yi brought the tank to school. it was big. about 3 times bigger the tank provided by the school. went to qian hu on a Saturday. bought some fishes & 2 baby lobsters. went early to school on de following Monday. placed the fishes & lobsters in the tank. tank only contained fishes, rocks, gravels & water then. there wasn't a single plant (!) :x. few days later, some fish died :(. later relised that there wasn't enough oxygen for the big, big tank. there was only one oxygen pump. resouceful kok yi brought his oxygen pump to sch the following day
. the fishes survived and water was very clean due to the sucker fish :D. changed the tank water alot of times. moved the fishes in & out of tank alot of times. fishes got stressed and once again, some of them died due to stress :(. jianhui decided to buy more fishes as there were 4 or 5 fishes left in the tank. once again, de fish team went to qian hu & bought some more fishes. on the day that the EE teachers went around the classes to check, the tank was almost done. we just needed plants. the next day, apurva, jianhui & jingqiau brought hydrilla & other water plants to put in the tank for more oxygen for the fishes
. zhiqiang & me brought "liang cha plant" & money plat respectively the same day
. gimbin also brought his table lamp for "extra light" for the plants to photosynthesize and produce suffcient oxygen for the fishes. everything needed for the aqua ponics was done
. HOORAY!. the last thing that we needed to do was to take care of the tank & continue observing the process of the tank
. the 2nd time that mrs peng went around, was when all classes had to shift the tanks to the 4th floor science room. that allowed us to have a condusive enviroment for our Mid-Year Exams. because of the shifting, things got very messy. our group was allow to shift the tank to the back of the class room as our tank was big and heavy. the same day, group 4's tank was still not ready and hence they were told to merge groups with us. some group members were not quite happy with this arrangements as they were unhappy that the other group had a "ready-made tank" when we put in all the effort
. later, they straighten out their thoughts and think that it was a joy to be able to help others (:. our group began accepting the other group and slowly welcomed them, the merger seemed to have taught some of us valuable lessons. 6th may, the day our dreadful written papers were over, i (huien) helped xinyi's group in their tank; heard their tank's fishes were dead. It turned out to be diana's group's fishes were decaying >.<. the new members were very helpful and helped alot in the cleaning of the tank, water, etc...
. ms faith mentioned that she will use our tank for exabition :D. everyone rejoiced on hearing that
. our hard work had paid off! :D. YIPPEEEEEEEE! :D. our hard work paid off!. today, we drew up a duty roster for our whole group. 4-5 members to take care & if need be clean up the tank. almost all were happy about the arrangements -.-
. ashiq & apurva who are in the progress team are in-charge of making the movie & i (huien) am in-charge of the blogokay, that's almost all, i have coloured some sentences so it will be easier for you all to see because those are in point form.so, let's have some "reflection"..?before leaving the classroom to home, on seeing the wonderful decorated tank that effort was put in by many, we felt a great sense of achievement. When we found the problem to the tank in the beginning and solved it, we really felt happy because we were able to identify the problem and overcome it, the feeling cannot be described by words. We felt that through this project, many had benifited alot from it. We worked hard on our team spirit and teamwork; we were more understanding and willing to help. We think that other groups had also enjoyed the process of the whole project. Though other groups were not chosen for the exabition, we believe that they were still proud of their works. :Dok that's all... *is this the longest post? :PBUAHAHAHA huien posted! :D
